I’m showing 3.17” storm total from the Davis in Marissa, but I’m not sold that it’s been measuring accurately lately. Might be time to replace. My Dad in St.Libory had right at 5 inches ... the way it blew last night I’m not sure you could get an accurate reading... it was literally raining sideways

So who is in charge of drawing a snow map when Chris doesn’t?

Geez can’t even get a proper ice storm according to the gfs with temps going above freezing Friday afternoon. Hopefully it’s moving the cold out too fast.

So who is in charge of drawing a snow map when Chris doesn’t? When in doubt, just look at the front of the shirt that was made for the corner dwellers a few years ago. It's usually spot on. If you don't have a shirt, it's basically 6+ inches for all except the immediate viewing area. We get a trace. It's a classic.

Unfortunately, The old GFS gets warmer and warmer each run . Our late week arctic outbreak and storm are slowly fading away. It’s trending toward the Euro.

I need to do the same, when I get a chance to get up on my building and pull it down. the guys on here said that you can send into Davis to fix them. Something to consider. I’m showing 3.17” storm total from the Davis in Marissa, but I’m not sold that it’s been measuring accurately lately. Might be time to replace.

If I was the NWS I’d expand the WWA a county or two SE

Yeah, I'm just not sure if it's worth the time and effort. For $175, you can get a brand new outside unit.
Edit: $156.99 on Scientific Scales

I dont have a screengrab to post of what I showed yesterday but I think that still seems reasonable. basically... 1 or less just southeast of I44 and along I55 in IL. 1 to 3 just northwest of I44...northwest of STL...and points north.
I have my doubts about how much of anything will stick with how warm and now how wet everything is.

The Davis on the roof in North St. Pete asked me to tell y'all that 2.95 inches of rain fell yesterday, including last night. The total for the rain so far is 3.90 inches. It's wet and colder. Yay!!

Lots of omega showing up on the soundings this afternoon centered on the DGZ. With temps in the column being borderline think we will see some big wet hamsters

Weather Channel going with a very warm Spring after a cold February. Let's see how that works out given the last few Springs took awhile to get going. IF we turn to La Nina and that's a huge if then Summer could be very nasty if the current pattern of indices remains through then.

They said pack all of the parts indoor/outdoor into a box with a check for 120 bucks and they basically refurbish the entire thing. Call them to confirm but that's what they told me. That by the end of it 'you basically have an entirely new unit'.

I guess I miss the days of watching The Weather Channel's graphic forecasts when they would highlight a day with thunderstorms in red. The thing about that was it only took a few short days to be disappointed with a busted forecast. Now, it takes two weeks plus to get disappointed. That sucks.

Spent the morning sending my son back to school... perfectly timing the break in the heavy rain and approaching winter weather. He should be in the dry slot for most of his trip. Then had to rush Daisy to the vet... 2 days of the doggy scoots...it has been a rough ride today lol.
