I was not expecting a southwest movement of precip out of Quincy. Is that just an illusion from the first signs of the Def Zone getting it's act together? ? One can dream, can't one?

Cool watch if you have 40 minutes on hand. That was very informative. I learned a lot from that video.

130am... very fine snow falling. Ground starting to show a hint of white. pavement is wet. temp 32.2 here at the house. Maybe 1/10th so far... which suprising considering how lackluster the radar has looked for the past hour. The main kick is coming down from the northwest now. That may last a couple of hours...and that will bring the lion's share of accumulations heading into the predawn hours.

Chris some local rds are getting covered in Troy, Mo. Not sure about hwy though. Doesn't look like some areas have salt either. Probably about an inch here maybe a 1 1/2 inches on the grass. Give or take

Roads just wet in southern Warren County and also in Washington MO. Just spoke with a MoDot driver and roads temps are still at 35-36°. About half inch maybe close to 3/4” on grass.

It's amazing how similar most of these snow events have been this year. Light salt shaker in Ballwin, about half an inch on the ground. Meh.

just measured a hair over 3/4 of an inch here at fox 2. Reports from our guys in the field are that roads are slushy and slick...definitely NOT a day to go the speed limit.

I was shocked when I looked outside. I put an eyeball measurement at 2" on my back deck railing. Everything out the backyard is covered in white. Tree branches, grass. Out front, concrete slab in front of garage just wet, gravel drive to Hwy H barely dusted. After reading in here at the lacklustre reports, I went out and measured, barefoot mind you. Nope, no pics. Anyway, I have right at 1.75" on back deck railing and my feet froze. Temp still 38*. It has to be wrong again. Edit: 7 miles west of De Soto.

Just measured 1 place, elevated, at 1.25”. It’s sticking to everything elevated, especially facing west.
