WEAX - I'll bet you're one heck of a barbequer. I'm sure you could find plenty of volunteer tasters in here if the need should ever arise. Enjoy! I appreciate the confidence... good bbq comes from experience, experience comes from bad bbq. I'd gladly share! Share recipes!

That storm is a beast. Probably laying down tennis ball to baseball size hail

It's right turning though, so no threat to us, maybe the southern most counties at worst.

Definitely looks like a Summer day out there though with convective blow off clouds and muggy conditions. Who knows maybe more activity will flare up and head our way, but most likely out west.

Looking long range, it seems like Monday night into Tuesday looks like a soaker with a brief break before another strong system rolls in Wednesday night into Thursday, it's relatively dry so not a ton of action, but as it passes and wraps up it could yield some flurries or even snow showers in time for April Fools Night or the day after. Then it looks quite chilly through the middle of the week after next. Gonna feel like a gut punch to some. It is gonna hold off my doom and gloom forecast of multiple rounds of severe storms till mid to late month into May though.

That said though the models have done this song and dance before of a massive flip to a negative NAO/AO pattern and well we all know those predictions turned out as the models quickly reverse as said event get closer. It's going to be a struggle with the NAO as strongly positive as it's been pretty much all Winter into early Spring. Still it's 2020 and it seems like anything is possible this year.

Looks like some moderate rain, maybe a rumble of thunder coming up I-44 for the metro.

Depending on clouds we could pull mid 80s tomorrow in the metro. HRRR has us almost already there by 10AM in the morning with upper 70s. Gotta love early April sun solar insulation (yes technically still very late March, but doesn't make much difference really).

This initial batch isn't the main story this evening is it? The SPC just expanded the slight risk further south without a cut away from the North. We can clearly see the need for the southern expansion.

Hearing thunder and a flash of light here and there to the south of me in Ballwin. that was traveling quite a distance if it's from that cell down there near Ironton... That one looks mean as it heads towards Fredericktown

Just some light rain and thunder here. Doesn’t look like much for most of us.

Is the CAP too strong over portions of the area? Seems like nothing wants to get going further north.
Edit- looks like storms are now firing further north and west now. We shall see how these go as they move over portions of the area.
