Not much change to the SPCs day two outlook.

Storm motions tomorrow will be screaming. Possibly 60mph in the right movers and maybe even 65mph in the left movers. Think ludicrous speed!

The new D2 outlook did pull the tornado risk down closer to STL.

Short range models are trying to get some activity going up 44 later today. The CAP looks tough though

Looks like supercells could be splitting a fair amount too. While there is plenty of SRH swept out in the hodographs, storm motions lie near the trace so suppression of the left branch of updrafts may be limited...especially early in the life cycle.

Pick a storm, find an obstructed view and safe spot to park, watch the storm go by, and hope it has a tornado attached to it.

Short range models are trying to get some activity going up 44 later today. The CAP looks tough though HRRR seems a bit high with the Tds… not sure we get to 70*

Short range models are trying to get some activity going up 44 later today. The CAP looks tough though HRRR seems a bit high with the Tds… not sure we get to 70* That's a definite bias with that model... That said, models have been picking up on a disturbance rippling NE across S/central MO later today with subtle height falls and mid-level cooling...that may be enough trigger to break the cap...especially as the LLJ ramps up this evening and the boundary begins to lift poleward.

I'm guessing it fires just about on top of us... then lifts north this evening. May see only an hour or two window.

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to throw some smoke on some boneless beef ribs and a chuck roast! It's a bit warm but not too bad.

Temperatures on days like today are such a crapshoot. Will the clouds clear? How much will they clear? When will they clear? How long does it stay clear?
I tend to go low especially this early in the season... If it gets warmer then there are few people complaining (unless you are in here lol)

Clouds are back. Ribs and chuck are braising. An hour or so they'll be done.

1st Lawn Mow of the 2020 lawn season under my belt... Let's the late Spring and Summer begin! I sink an 1/2 inch or more in most parts of my yard walking around. With more rain, I think it’ll be impossible to mow. Worked outside today cleaning up, nice to get outside. And no nasty gnats, or whatever they are... yet.

WEAX - I'll bet you're one heck of a barbequer. I'm sure you could find plenty of volunteer tasters in here if the need should ever arise.
Enjoy!
