Looks like two tornadoes were on the ground in and around Monroe, LA just a little bit ago. The radar sigs showed two debris balls on the two. Let’s hope everyone will be safe! Monroe, Louisiana went under a tornado emergency
Today's off to a bad start
Reed Timmer just retweeted up to 20 homes damaged in the Monroe Tornado.

Hahaha... the LSX office just updated the storm potential for this afternoon. And I gotta tell ya... very familiar outlook!

12z euro drops some snow around STL Thursday and Friday That mid-week frontogenetic band needs to be watched too...it will likely set up north but it could shift southward if the cold air is stubborn.

I hope we stay dry. I could use a dry spring for a change.

One of the most vicious radar signatures I've ever seen right now. Check out this wording from the MCD
SUMMARY...Based on recent radar and environmental data, a violent tornado with potential peak winds of 170 to 205 mph (EF4-EF5) is likely ongoing. THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONALLY RARE EVENT.

If it ends up rated *only* EF4 it's probably just because it didn't hit something sturdy enough...

Laurel is the next community in line. Hopefully this thing cycles at the best possible time.
Edit: Looks like it would miss to the north though...

But i have a rose bush, lilac bush, azalea bush and hosta plants I'm worried about.

I may not worry to much tonight. I'm not even under a freeze warning. But my point forecast says I'll be 32. But don't the wind take away the frost chance??

Sadly all the rose bushes and stuff like that are off to the best start we’ve had in years here. Would be unfortunate to have a big setback.
