Looks like we will have to wait until early May until we see severe weather return around here. Persistent NW flow until then will make for some nice early spring days

Persistent NW flow until then will make for some nice early spring days I'm all for nice days, but it is severe weather season. So would love some good lightning storms once in awhile. By the time I go back to work, its going to be after having 6 weeks off. Wow! There is no telling if this shutdown will be extended more.

And another potentially significant severe outbreak may be in the cards for the southeast on Thursday. SPC has a big hatched area outlined down there.

And another potentially significant severe outbreak may be in the cards for the southeast on Thursday. SPC has a big hatched area outlined down there. There was some discussion a few moons ago about the "Dixie alley" becoming the focal point for tornadoes. Some astute weather scientists thinking that while tornadoes will still occur in the more notorious tornado alley, the dixie alley will be prevalent.

Thanks for the virtual storm class Chris. I haven't went in over 8 yrs or so. It was nice seeing some new video and slides. Last time I went Mr. Kramper was still doing them. Has he retired? He was such a nice guy. Yes. Mr. Kramper retired. I have not watched the video yet. I did go last year, maybe it was the year before. I really enjoyed Mr. Krampers class from a few years ago when i first took it.I hope he is enjoying retirement.

I’m ready for a vacation. I’m grateful for still having a job to go to everyday but I’m tired lol. Ya that's what sucks about this whole shutdown. Is some folks are off for weeks on end and others are working still and working harder then before in some cases. My brothers a cook, so everybody in this bar are off except for him and two others for curbside. So he's a little frustrated because he is working and the rest are home getting the same pay.

I there a threshold for gorilla hail? Or is subjective like marble size?

IHSA put the nail in the coffin today for spring sports on the IL side. Sad day in the dschreib household.
EDIT: Technically, they've left open the door to play some spring games during the summer. I think by then the interest will be gone, though, and the state tournaments were canceled, not postponed.
I still think graduation is very doable in a town our size. The class size is under 50, and the gym is big. Parents/siblings-only, each "pod" spaced apart, students spaced apart...and go!

dry air is kickin butt and taking names. Sure is. But wow the south has gotten so much rain this spring. Seems like every other day there’s a huge mess of rain and storms down there.

That single cell has been producing a tornado off and on for like 5 hours. Incredible. Unfortunately it’s smacked some towns along the way.
