Radar looks like every storm this winter where the axis of heavy precip is 30-50 miles north of Stl I was about to post something similar and seen this. Although, I hadn't looked at the 'Total Precip' loop on the radar. I was surprised to see I am very near an inch received. Watch that batch near Springfield, IL add to its totals. If only this was January/February.

Radar looks like every storm this winter where the axis of heavy precip is 30-50 miles north of Stl EURO did pretty bad with this system...it was consistently too far S along with the GEM. The GFS and NAM were much closer with the placement of the heaviest axis of rainfall along/N of I-70.

Looks like around Springfield, IL the bullseye looks to be 1.5" and still raining. 'IF' it would have been snow, I would have been going ballistic because I would have pinned my dreams on the Euro. I don't think I would have been alone in that. This winter will be our turn. No scientific basis, just...'it's my turn'.

Saw on Angela Hutti's Facebook page she'll be back on the air next week. But she'll be working from home to help protect the new baby from Covid-19 - very understandable.
First time since October KTVI/KPLR will have all the meteorologists back on duty.

First time since October KTVI/KPLR will have all the meteorologists back on duty. Thankfully I’ve been able to pretty well split my office time/work from home. I certainly feel for her. Our boy is 8 weeks old and we take all precautions we possibly can. I know it’s not supposed to affect the very young for the most part but you have no way of knowing if there could be some sort of immune disorder, underlying condition, etc. It’s been a challenge not being able to have any visitors whatsoever for relief or just family bonding time.

The 1st kid is always the one you want to be perfect parents for. The 2nd one, if close enough in age to the 1st one, is the same. But, by the 3rd kid, it’s actually quite amazing what wasn’t acceptable for the first two kids is now completely acceptable for the 3rd. I’m fearful that if my wife and I have a 4th that I’ll end up raising a completely feral child. Enjoy the baby snuggles, required naps, and the amazement that fills their eyes. Before you know it, you’ll be nagging them to take showers, keep themselves groomed, and to not ride their mountain bike inside the house even though we let the 4 year old ride hers.

Pecos Hank...I like his videos and commentary. I find his content a lot more palatable than Reed's...while I can respect Timmer's intensity and passion, he's a bit much to take at times. I can only hear a guy screaming "large tornado!" at the top of his lungs a few times before it gets annoying.

Sounding on HRRR for 6pm this evening. SRH 0-3km isn't above or at 250m^2/s^2, but overall a decent sounding!

Latest flood outlook from Mark Fuchs looks pretty promising. Snowpack is already gone along with well below normal precip across the basin Feb/March-- both playing key roles.

Finally bought a weather station... not the Davis I've drooled over the past 5 years but something I can gawk at and give somewhat more accurate info.

Landspout near Marshall, Missouri this afternoon. That's about halfway between Columbia and KC for those wondering.
