Talk about timing, I though that sucker was gonna miss just to the north, only to make a slight right turn at the last second nailing Belleville. Looks like one more cell might be coming from the western burns of St. Louis before it's all said an done. Can't rule out a brief skirt with the small rain shield to the north though.

Just had enough small hail to cover the deck .... two nights in a row with hail...... can I count this as snow ? It would break into our top 5 snow falls for this year down this way 😂

Possibly significant tornado outbreak looks in the offing tomorrow evening/night in Oklahoma and into western Arkansas, far southeastern Kansas. Classic perimeters with plenty of lift and moisture to work with. Just a chilly rain for us.

Best bet for tornadoes tomorrow looks to be in NW Texas but even that’s a marginal threat with sky high LCLs

Interesting seeing the entire state of New Mexico under a red flag warning. I don't recall ever seeing a whole state having that warning.

It looks like the SPC just now did a non-standard update to their day 1 outlook just for that lone thunderstorm in the Texas panhandle.

And that cell is a great example of a splitting supercell. Both splits producing severe weather. Environment has lots of shear, but almost entirely unidirectional...perfect for cell splits. Most recent Amarillo sounding...

Did a tornado cross hwy 55 between Wardell and Hayti yesterday? Telephone poles down, trees snapped, roofs blown off. A couple semis blown over too. Amazing straight line winds around Gideon, MO...6 MILE WIDE, 19 miles long damage path with winds up to 110 mph. I was reading abt it on crowleys ridge weather fb page. It seems like southeast missouri gets alot of these straight line wind events with crazy winds like that.

I would imagine a fair number will be heading back, if not already. Let's see how this blows up in a couple weeks.

We had some light rain and sprinkles around 11pm, then it quit, been dry ever since. Rain to the south and rain to the north. That sounds familiar.

I would imagine a fair number will be heading back, if not already. Let's see how this blows up in a couple weeks. Ya i work for the Toyota parts and supply(formally Bodine Aluminum) plant in Troy, Mo. We all start back Monday May 11th, after a 7 week shutdown. So there's about 900 employees getting thrown back in. So ya, lets see what happens in a couple of week. 🤔

B-2 Stealth bomber from Whiteman AFB makes a pass over STL today around 5:12 pm -- a salute to healthcare frontline

B-2 Stealth bomber from Whiteman AFB makes a pass over STL today around 5:12 pm -- a salute to healthcare frontline Except no one can see it, because it’s stealth... I saw a F-15 take off from SPI last week. I was shocked since I had thought that all of those had been phased out and replaced with F16, F-18, F-22, and F-35s.

Speaking of not seeing sorry about the trip,e post of the flood graphic. I tried posting directly from the Facebook graphics URL twice but nothing was showing up. So I downloaded it to my PC and then uploaded it to Imgur. When I returned to MTW just now there were three. Computers....go figure.
