Composite radar looks to be firing some right around Arnold or the start of them anyway Had a quick burst of rain and wind but that’s about it in Arnold. Looking longer term for a minute, I noticed the globals are starting to ease the length and severity of the cold starting next week. Latest run of the GFS has quite a few warm days mixed in with the cold shots

Didn't take long for the clouds to clear out. There's not a cloud visible from Belleville from my field of view, and temps are dropping like a rock.

Can't rule out a freeze but with everything growing now, honestly I don't need nor want one now. Gonna miss those upper 80s low 90s. Oh well.

My guess is 36* Friday AM at STL You thinking the wind is going to keep temps up? I'm thinking closer to freezing with h85 around -6*C or so. But I could see us staying a bit warmer if we stay downstream of the ridge axis.

Dime size hail 4mi E KFAM Just south of you was this... from my brother who lives on Laws. I had a few big chunks, but nothing like that. And if he is on Laws, that is “just” south 😁

But I could see us staying a bit warmer if we stay downstream of the ridge axis. There could be a little mixing Fri morning, but winds look to be around 5 mph or less. I agree Coz, the C high is too far west. Another thing to take into account is we have less nighttime to have radiational cooling. Less than 12 hrs. Though I agree, based upon those 850mb temps, 32-34 seems doable. We may have a better shot to go before freezing AM Mon. Or AM Tues when winds are supposed to be calm.

That must have been a fun week and a half to be a weather fanatic. 20" of snow on March 31st followed by almost 90 degrees in that short of a time span!

Big severe outbreak may be coming together for the Gulf Coast on Easter Sunday. SPC already talking about long track supercells and strong tornadoes in their extended outlook.

My significant other filed her taxes with hrblock.
She had her taxes directly deposited onto the. HRblock emerald card.
There was no refund advance or any loan.
She filed Feb 2nd or 3rd and the money was deposited on the card on Feb 25th after the Treasury in Illinois took half for back child support.
My question is the government is sending out 50 million deposits they say today to people for direct deposit for stimulus checks.
even though this isn't going to a bank account I'm assuming this money being sent out will go to her card cuz it was directly deposited to the card you know through h&r block I don't see why they would send her a paper check but I'm not sure and I can't get a hold of any h&r block people I called her hotline had me right there for an hour and a half if anyone knows the answer to that please let me know.

There will be a full day of incoming solar insolation.
This time of year that is quite a bit of energy coming in I don't know how much that was back overnight lows but it might help hold temps up.
The sun is equivalent to August 31st today.
So that's super powerful.

I would think the your lady would get a check..which could take many weeks yet. If there is no DD with the IRS on taxes to a bank account I think you get a check. But who knows, lol.

I believe the IRS is setting up a website to be able to enter direct deposit info.
You’ll need bank account and routing number.
I’m sure a quick google search will get you some more info.

The tax refund was directly deposited to the card via the routing number and Card number
The IRS is supposed to give HR block details of how they are planning to handle that.
I hope they can directly deposit the money.
My stimulus money isn't coming to me it's going for back child support which is crazy b******* I pay my child support I had that couch support but I shouldn't have to have this taken from me during a pandemic.
Especially when my son's mother makes over $100,000 a year

Might see some warp around snow showers Sunday night into Monday morning. It sure is going to be windy 12z gefs ensemble mean has a general 2-4 inches of snow for STL south by hour 168. Members are suggesting a possible storm around April 15th. Pretty impressive to even see modeled at this range

Ya that could be a significant outbreak. Soundings across Dixie Alley are as nasty as they get. That has high risk written all over it

That has high risk written all over it Yeah...if things still look as volatile with this evenings global models as they did with this morning's runs then we may see a rare day 3 moderate risk. Hopefully the models simmer down a bit like they often do as an event draws near. And hopefully morning convection will put a tamper on things too. The UKMET in particular is ridiculously amped with the environment over a broad area. However, after being able to see more of the data over the last few months I'm starting to get the impression that it is the global equivalent of the often too over-cooked NAM. Unfortunately some of the others models are fairly super-charged as well.
