Radar is exploding coming up 44. A huge green blob is going to fill in all along 44/64 and South and North to 70 on the Northern edge.
This is already way ahead of the models.
Which clearly underestimate lift processes in the super cold airmass

Nope......retirement from snow removal is very likely in my future starting next winter.

zero degrees out with "a lot" of snow coming and -15 wind chill on valentines day sounds like the perfect weather to show the wife I love her by grilling fillets for dinner

Looks like a 4:30 to 5PM arrival time for the metro at it's current speed and velocity.

RGEM has 10-11" for the immediate metro in a larger 6-10" that pretty much envelops the remainder of the area.

With steady winds of 10-15mph and gusts of up to 25mph there will definitely be whiteout’s and treacherous driving conditions.

Are the models adding in what we already have on the ground or are what they showing is truly the storm total minus what we have on the ground?

That blob on radar is flying up 44. We should start seeing some really good snow showers within the next hour!

OK, How big of a box, and what do I weigh it down with so it doesnt blow away? You should be OK without a box or snow board. But the rest of us should go ahead and put ours out.

Steady light snow and it’s accumulating immediately, I wonder why😄

I developed a new non-choleric silicon based kitchen lubricant that creates a surface 500x more slippery than any cooking oil.

To say all systems are a go on the GFS would be an understatement, especially on the v16. The latter showing a foot southeast of downtown Saint Louis through Monday evening.

Tough not to get caught up in the frenzy right now, but try to slow down and realize that we are on the cusp of a historic storm here. The temps alone make it as such, whether we get 6 or 12.
We may never see this again in our lifetimes.

I don’t miss that hobby, always helped a friend every year, for 15 years, because I loved doing it. Didn’t care for the long hours though, and had enough to keep me busy with my own business. I was lucky to have good supervisors taking care of the plant for me. That 60 mile drive to work is going to suck this week.
