Ida is an amazing storm …. At the 10:00 update the pressure actually dropped to 998 and the winds went from 35 to 40…. She doesn’t want to go away

Incredible video out of the northeast and NYC area of flash flooding. May be one of the worst flash floods in history. Absolutely amazing.

Radarscope tends to have connectivity issues with radar servers at times, but I've never seen it where every station is offline.

Must have been a total server failure on RS's end.

Have to agree with Beaker with the potential for heavy rain across the area Friday PM into Saturday with training thunderstorms possible favoring the 70 corridor. Also looks like strong storms are possible Tuesday with the frontal passage and a significant cool down mid-week in it's wake.

I don't see any flooding rains per 00z hi res NAM. Maybe 2-3 inches in Central Mo. Here maybe an inch...looks very spotty once it gets here.
Anybody else care to elaborate?

We still thinking flooding rains tomorrow night? the wpc has the metro in a slight risk for excessive rainfall, which is 10 to 20 pct chance of rainfall exceeding flash flood guidance within 25 miles of a point. Given that we are in an overall pattern which seems to give us very efficient and intense rains, i would think a flash flood watch might be a topic of conversation in the WFO for tonight extending to noon on saturday for much of the metro along and south of 70.
