Well, shame that it was in and out quickly. Really needed the rain! Maybe this will layout outflows for more storms later, though my guess is it will be well south and east of us. .45 according to my gauge

Going to see some crazy amounts again today S of 44. Lot of hail potential as well.

Going to see some crazy amounts again today S of 44. Lot of hail potential as well. If the rain could lift north 50 miles that would be great. Hail too. A few more strikes before the adjuster comes wouldn't hurt. Made the mistake of going with state farm and I hear they are the master of claim denial. All my neighbors got new roofs, so we shall see

Not sure were going to see much in the metro today
CAMs are keeping most of the activity confined to the southern counties

Severe Storm Watch has just dropped. 3:20PM to 11PM.
Still not seeing anything for St. Louis Metro, but certainly for the southern counties.

Last night JeffCo was the western most county in the watch until 7pm. I don't know if there was a watch for the area over night. Today JeffCo is the northern most county in the watch. I request rain and no large hail, or high winds please.

I have a dinner meeting from 5 until about 7:30 in downtown Belleville. Should I have my spouse drop me off for fear of hail damage to car?

This was a wild day. I'll never forget that storm. Gust after gust throwing trees down left and right.

That sure is a lonely cell out west. Starting to wonder if it’ll ever get any company.

Looks like the system over the Great Lakes has given our expected storms a 'nudge/push' to the south. You can see on vis satellite the 'push' occurring just as the lone cell starts to form at 1931UTC (2:31CDT) Then watch as the NW oriented clouds over KS become due easterly at the MO border. Maybe as the Great Lake system weakens/moves east, this will allow a little bit of a NE move with the storms in MO. Pure speculation but cool to see.

I can hear thunder but there is very little eastward movement from the cell over northern Crawford/Washington and southern Franklin counties. The rain totals have to be piling up there.

Raining pretty good 7 miles west of De Soto. Some strange movement/development with this cell. I am lucky I'm getting rain the way it was looking. Just no severe weather, please.

I have a wicked light show to my west. Still far enough away that there is very little thunder but it sure is frequent.
