Assuming the 1540 line is the dividing line between sleet and snow? It needs to say south some for me to change over.

Temp has dropped to 28 in Wentzville... and road temp is 31.3. This is going to pile up quickly now for the next couple of hours along I-70.
Just had a spinout in front of us on I-70 near Wright City. Roads are pretty slick out here right now because of the snowfall intensity.

I'm starting to get icicles forming off of the table and chairs on the back deck.🤔🤔 I'm also starting to get whiter and larger 'Dippin Dots' falling with the sleet.

all the sudden things switched from rain/sleet to snow in eureka. Just walked outside on back patio to take dogs out and things are flash freezing for sure if not treated. Snow is starting to stick actually to the roads too

Just heard thunder and pouring sleet seven miles west of DeSoto but the sky has really lightened up. I don't have any lightning detection ability so I guess it's possible it was a truck on the highway.

I've got a Dippin Dots/sleet mix with a few snowflakes thrown in. The sky has really really lightened up 7 miles west of De Soto though.

I didn't hear any thunder in Waterloo. Currently a snow/sleet mix though it looks like it's good to let up for a while as some dry air punches in from the west. I hope this continues to sag south or I'm not getting much of anything.

Still ripping in Edwardsville although flake size has decreased. Eyeballing about 1" so far, and the roads are starting to turn white now whereas they were just wet before, so I'm guessing pavement temp is now down around 32.

Heavy snow with low visibility on going
Roads are quickly getting snow covered
Looks like a blizzard outside when the wind kicks up

Salt trucks were out in full-force this morning on the drive in. I'm sure a little got blown to the shoulder, but overall roads *should* be OK. Usually the problem is the driver, and it doesn't even need to be snowing.
Sleet, of course, is still the game-changer.
This aged well, didn't it?
