I'm a little on guard about tonight. I think it'll blow just to my west or right on top of me.

With a kid in Cape and friends in Evansville, along with being on the edge, I'm still keeping an eye on it.

Looks like the short-range CAMS were onto something with mixing out the moisture judging by the SPC update.
I guess it's not too surprising, everything has been wanting to blow up across the lower OHV for over a year now.

If we can hit 86 this afternoon and 26 tomorrow morning then we can make it an even 60 degree drop.

Looking back at surface observations from 11:00 a.m. onward our dew point keeps dropping. The dew point was 52° right around 11:00 a.m. and it's dropped about a degree every hour it's down to 46° now with a relative humidity of 27%. Seeing that we are up to 84° and likely still going to climb some we're going to be closer to Chris's 90* scenario and lower chances of severe weather. Is that what everyone in here is thinking. The NWS has changed my forecast again. How the hell is the general public supposed to follow this ever changing messaging. it's so frustrating. My family is asking me what it's going to do and I tell them to just watch your local station that's going to be your best bet. I'm telling them I have no idea what it's going to do. I do see some scattered showers or radar Echoes anyway down to our south. Looked more impressive on the St Louis weather site they must be in composite mode. Didn't look nearly as impressive on a base radar. Is that something that we could look for to our South if that line or that shower activity edges northward. I'm assuming that would be a signal of moisture returning and dew points climbing.

I assume these are accurate. Looks to me like a couple counties east of St. Clair in IL.

Already at 84⁰. Will we make it to 85⁰ and tie the all time February record or go higher and break it?

Already at 84⁰. Will we make it to 85⁰ and tie the all time February record or go higher and break it? Looks like Lambert hit 86⁰ in between METARs per 5 minute ASOS data at 3:40/3:45. Not official of course...

It definitely has that drier feel outside here in Troy.
Not your typical humidity when you know storms are likely.

It does appear we broke the record for February at 86. Severe threat will be southeast and east of St. Louis.
