Speaking of severe weather, early next week looks primed around here. That's a potent looking trof that gets carved out next week in the West...there's sure been a lot of strong jet energy digging into the US lately.

Anyone know what winters are like around here after an active Plains tornado season.

My guess would be mild and dry. Or mild and wet. Lol

Dang, the current confirmed tornado warning in southern OK couplet and debris signature was moving slightly east, then turned around and went back NW. I sure hope no chasers were trying to come up on it from the back.

I sure hope no chasers were trying to come up on it from the back. That was one of the strongest couplets I’ve seen on radar. At one point it had a very clear vortex hole, almost like a hurricane eye on reflectivity.

And now there is an anti cyclonic tornado with a very clear debris ball
What is going on

Also was about to post about the anti cyclonic one too. Weird night!!

Ya that almost stationary large wedge tornado was something else. And then it spins up a very brief anticyclonic tornado just to its south. But this tornado was going southeast, then east, then northeast then north and finally northwest. Very weird spin. Something I've never seen before. This was in Oklahoma north of Loveland. South of Chattanooga. I happened to be watching that very storm on radarscope. I got some gif videos that I saved too.

There are other examples of large tornados doing this sort of occlusion/deviant motion. El Reno 2013 and Greensburg both did loops and El Reno had an anti-cyclonic tornado with it as well during that.
