Will they be tomorrow as well? Tonight was the better chance, but as clear as they were tonight it wouldn’t surprise me.

Definitely fading. Not sure if they’ll come back as vivid.

Definitely fading. Not sure if they’ll come back as vivid. Yea I’ve been out several times the last hour and have yet to see as good as they were in the beginning.

I hope we don’t wake up in the morning to discover we lost power because of this.

Seeing these northern lights made me tear up a little. Never thought I would be able to see them. It's a beautiful and amazing world. Even more wild that two days ago a EFO tornado went right through my yard. Been a wild run these last few months with the eclipse, severe weather, and now this solar storm.

Went out just after 9, first only visible looking northwest, but then went overhead and then to the southeast, which I didn’t expect at all. Couldn’t really detect any movement or drift with my eye, but at times dim clouds of pink would obscure the stars in that area & then the stars would return. Ditto not seeing anything now.

Not sure. I just found that site and it stopped around 4:00UTC. I need it to go through dawn.

Ex-husband sent me some great photos from Union. He had forgotten about it, so I called and told him to go outside, when I saw it here. It takes A LOT to faze him, and he was blown away. Daughter called me almost crying in Washington when she started seeing it, she was so excited. Son sent me some amazing photos from Lebanon, MO. I have a lot of obstructed view from tall trees, but could see overhead. I hope I can see more tonight, but I'm exhausted from work, so no way can I make it to 1 or 2 a.m. I'm not a spring chicken anymore.

To have totality and the aurora this vivid in my backyard within basically a month of each other is pretty phenomenal.

Tomorrow night’s (now tonight’s) map—not good. EDIT: This updates automatically, and has shifted south quite a bit already. My gut says they’ll be visible again. Maybe not overhead like last night, but I’d say there’s a pretty good chance on the horizon

But, considering there are pics as far south as MS and the FL panhandle from tonight, I’m still holding out hope for tomorrow night.

Good info from them on the left side of that pic. Right side…ehhhh…a bit dated.

Last night was pretty cool...have to agree that seeing the total eclipse and aurora within a month is remarkable! My phone doesn't have night mode so pics were pretty meh but it was definitely naked eye visible and easily the brightest and highest elevation I've ever seen it.

Monday into Tuesday is looking pretty damp as a slow moving mid-level low drifts through. And there's signs of the MCS train starting to fire up towards next weekend and beyond.

We’re going to end up sick of rain pretty soon. I know I have a downspout (or maybe downspouts) to work on this weekend. One of them looked like a geyser last week where the gutter meets the corrugated pipe. Pretty sure it’s full of shingle grit from the old roof, and probably covered with grass and roots at the opening in the yard.

On a related note, my brother (the one with the solar binoculars) said the sunspot region is huge, and that anyone who still happens to have their eclipse glasses (not me) might be able to see it with them.
