I’m worn out. Can you imagine how tired Chris is? Up since 3am... got home to prep house for mom's 92d birthday...after chasing this morning and then had a short time with family and mom before I got yanked away. I'm too old for this.

Man what a SEASON this has been! It's been awhile since we've been this active.
With that said. I'm absolutely devastated by all the damage and unfortunate deaths that have happened due to these very strong and violet tornadoes.

Columbia, IL here. Had one tree blown down in a tree line and another snapped off at base (it was half rotten). Had a piece of siding deposited in my yard, but yard is surrounded by trees so wondering where that came from (debris from across river?).

So damage in Sappington off Butler Hill Road is definitely tornadic (no suprise) and the small area I've seen is at least high end EF1... maybe low end EF2.

Likely tornado just down the street from me. Butler Hill/Kerth. Heard the freight train, saw rotation. Going to help neighbors now. So incredibly not fun Just to your east there is a ton of emergency services activity for power lines down and tree down. Brooktop/Morningdale area Yep, few houses down from me

Lots of trees and powerlines down from that QCLS here yesterday evening. Only minor damage to homes though thank goodness...that was the longest duration of 60+ mph winds I've seen around here in a long time.

What a wild day yesterday turned out to be.
Wondering if we might see a few isolated hailers along/N of 70 late this afternoon/evening...pretty strong CAA in the mid-levels with low WBZ and about 1000j/kg MLCAPE ahead of a shortwave crossing IA/N IL. Something to watch...otherwise, today looks like one of the nicer Memorial Days we've seen in a while.

Something to watch...otherwise, today looks like one of the nicer Memorial Days we've seen in a while. I had spot showers in the forecast for today last week for two reasons... one, because it is Memorial Day and if she can find a way, Mother Nature will make it rain on Memorial Day. And two, for the concern of a northwest flow disturbance which was showed off and on in previous guidance.

You're right about that...it always seems to find a way on this day and "never trust the NW flow"

Just my take on this day. I have felt over the years on Memorial Day weekend. The weekend part on the holiday for the BBQs and all that. But save the actual \Memorial Day it’s self for the remember and honoring. Of our service men and women.

Some pretty decent storms in progress across N MO...they are going to move into more stable air across our region though.

Hey experts - I made a drive down Pottle in South County and noticed a lot of what appeared to be tornado damage. This street is > 86 yards (half of the 172 width they posted) away from the track the NWS posted for the Oakville tornado. Do you think that damage is related?

Possibly RFD related damage...north or south of the track? North of the track Admittedly- the lack of high resolution maps makes it difficult to see street names so it may be related. But I can’t zoom in enough!

Possibly RFD related damage...north or south of the track? North of the track Are there twisted trees? That's usually a good sign of a tornado...tops and trees down in different directions. It could have been a satellite tornado. Or FF downdraft winds if straightline. But that close, it's probably tornado related.

But that close, it's probably tornado related. I saw a piece of siding twisted around a pole. Tops of trees lopped off and broken in diff directions. Large tree uprooted. I just pulled up another map, it’s very possible east pottle is on the northern fringe of the track.
