I can't wait for that outflow. But it's going to be too late to help the metro cool off today, maybe at least it will cool off quick after 5 p.m. with it no doubt about it we break 100, currently I am 102 with a dp of 65 in st.peters as I just got home for lunch.

Decided to pick the first of the blackberries, the last of the raspberries, and cut the old raspberry vines out. Can confirm it's pretty hot outside. Don't miss working in it every day.

:Pops the Champagne: we've hit 100*F at both Lambert and Cahokia Heights/Belleville!
Actually Lambert is at 101*F. Small chance we tie the record today. 102*F was it?

Nive looking line of thunderheads hanging to our north. Picture worthy. Unfortunately they're all moving east so, at least for the short term, they aren't in the cards for us.

Made it up to 102° on the home weather station here in Arnold
The only thing making it slightly bearable outside is the breeze

A phenomenal 83* currently behind the outflow

101.8 for the high.
101 currently.
Looks like we should shave 12 degrees off that in the next 30 minutes with that outflow that's about 1 mile away

I was wrong...again 100* IMBY today...110* HI A phenomenal 83* currently behind the outflow I was wrong too. In our defense the ridge intensity and positioning wasn't ideal and that was a needle thread with the clouds/rain. Yeah, I think the dewpoint depressions higher up is allowing some compressional heating of the outflow keeping them warmer than we typically see. An OFB just hit STL and it only dropped to 91 F. And although the soundings are far from ideal for heat bursts (Td too high down low) I wouldn't be too hasty in completely writing off a rogue one from one of these cells as it dies.

Storms have blown up all around MBY today...one whopping hundredth in the gauge so far.
The deep convection to the NW is starting to dive southward towards the instability pool and looks to miss to the SW.
I sure hope the cold front delivers tonight...not holding my breath at this point
