.77 this weekend in south central st.peters. I'm in the willot road area. I will take it compared to others.
Hopefully the entire area can get a good soaking this week, as long as it's dry in time for the fireworks.
My total for the month of June was 2.29, so not ideal but could of been worse imby. Let's all make sure Brighton gets some rain this week.

Models are in good agreement with scattered storms along the passing front on Wednesday followed by an MCS or two traversing the stalled boundary Thursday morning. We'll see how the 1-3" rainfall forecasts hold up...I need about 1.5" to fill the rain barrel up by my calculations(a 10x30" roof surface on the barn that feeds it).

Beryl is a cat 4 barreling toward the islands. Luckily it's a small size storm.

The period from the 3rd through the 8th looks to me like a region wide game changer. So far imby, no complaints abt rainfall, but for those of you who have missed out, seems like theres a potential for heavy rains rt around the holiday and then attn turns to Beryl, with a possible projected track of bringing more rains in the southern plains then rt up the MS valley.

Beryl is a cat 4 barreling toward the islands. Luckily it's a small size storm. It is the most intense Atlantic Basin tropical cyclone to occur prior to July.

Is the hurricane pronounced like Milton BERLE? Or is it like BARREL of oil? I've heard it pronounced both ways.

The pressure is down to 946mb per the latest NHC update. It looks better now than when they upgraded it to 150 mph. Unfortunately there are no recon flights scheduled to arrive for quite some time.

That makes Beryl the earliest occurrence of a category 5 hurricane beating Emily on July 16, 2005.

The spidy senses are starting to tingle right now with growing concerns for river flooding around here over the next couple of weeks. The ingredients of concern...
1) Missouri and Mississippi River flooding up north is flowing south. 2) Additional heavy rain is forecast from Nebraska and Iowa over the next several days. 3) Heavy rain may take aim on Missouri Wednesday into Thursday with some model guidance (including our in house model) showing 2-4 inches across much of Missouri into western Illinois by Friday. 4) At roughly the same time the crests from up north are heading south... and the late week rain is getting absorbed into the river systems... the remnants of Beryl could POTENTIALLY impact the middle of the country next week.
There are a lot of ifs and maybes in this scenario... and it is far from certain... but it does have me attention.

I havenât gotten a drop in what seems like a month.
These last couple of mornings have been incredible. Yesterday might have been greatest July day ever here.
Beryl is a monster.

I believe yesterday's hi of 80 was a record low high.
I feel July will be tough to get 100 degree heat as I am hopeful that the pattern looks very active which while very humid will keep temps in check with clouds and rain and tropical moisture.
I always feel if we get through July we are on the downward slope as I personally have never felt august heat is as bad simply because it tends to dry out a bit.
But we will see. I know locally we need rain but we do not need the.flooding on the rivers.
