We finally just had a decent downpour….. radar looks like a snow storm with everything just to our north lol …. I’m thankful we had 2 inches last week 1.28" since midnight 15.76" since I installed the Davis 6313 console on 04/01.
It was funny we Didn’t have that much out at the lake., I drove into town and there was water standing everywhere.

3.1" in my non-digital old school gauge here in Maplewood. That's on top of the 1.0" yesterday.

Walked by the Accurite weather station in the living room and was surprised to see 40° for the outside temperature.🤔🤔 I picked it up and took a closer look it was showing -40° outside🥶🥶🥶🥶 And the high earlier today was 121°🥵🥵 🤔🤔🤔 I'm figuring batteries, maybe. So I brought the remote unit in from the patio and it was soaking wet. Remote units sitting in front of a fan right now. Batteries show 1.48 volts. Looks like a moisture infiltration issue.

HRRR did a phenomenal job with this Yes... so did the GRAF model. GRAF picked up the excessive rain potential and location 48 hours out! It has done that a few times. The problem is that you get just enough confidence in it's ability (same with HRRR) and lays a stinker on you and makes you look foolish. What lent confidence in pushing numbers higher and the model solution was the agreement in the mesoscale/synoptic scale set-up. The classic low level moisture convergence signature in the 5k foot layer really honed in on the location. Thank goodness these storms were moving along and we didn't get repeating SLOW moving storms... or this would have been much worse. As it is, considering the amount of rain that fell, it has been absorbed pretty well from what I've heard. Some minor issues here and there, but nothing super big or out of the ordinary. That tells you just how dry it was getting up until now. What we do not want to see now is the remnants of Behrl find their way up here next week... or some other tropical thing. That would be bad news.

Here are some of the rainfall totals I've pulled together. If you have updates or corrections, please share. The local creeks responded in a signifcant manner, but from what I can tell stayed within their banks in most cases.

Some of my driveway is washed out again and my pond is flowing over the spillway( it was 8-10" below spillway yesterday afternoon) and the lower overflow pond, that had no standing water in it yesterday, is full and at its overflow pipe so it had to be more than 0.83", how much more I don't know but it almost had to be closer to 2-2.5" than it is to 0.83".🤔🤔🤔

Not sure of the amount of rain but I live on the bottom of a hill and the county normally has to come the day after most big rains to clean up the road down my valley because how much gravel and debris covers the road and this morning was the most debris and junk Ive ever seen on my road since 2015
Seriously almost a foot of gravel in some spots

2.95" yesterday after midnight and 2.62" today after midnight! 5.57" for both events in northern Wildwood. Areas in central MO near Columbia and east of Jefferson City were the jackpot winners which received near 8-9" for both events.

That tells you just how dry it was getting up until now. There were some pretty significant cracks opening up, even in the flower bed areas around the house that get watered every week or two.

KCPS automated reporting must be broken. No way they got .61. that's less than 6 miles from here and radar estimates are much higher.

Sounds like a decent soaker out there tonight IMBY. I'll check my old rain guage in the morning.
Didn't move in until very late, like midnight or later. Local municipality/chamber of commerce canceled the fireworks for no reason. Lots to do to prepare I am sure, but they jumped the gun on the 3rd.
