I'll have to go back and look at the observations... but at least at the airport I don't think it qualified... but it was REALLY close. I know we had a warning posted mid storm is what made me remember that. I know I’m south county was that criteria for sure. But could easily see how air port wasn’t. Also just saw the piece on Facebook, well done sir.

Lots of possible opportunities for forecast to implode the next few days. Westerlies retreat to the north, but the atmosphere does not get capped off... leaving a daily pool of enriched high CAPE air to serve as fuel for any isolated storms... if they form. If they dont... it will het gross out. If they do it will be a little less gross. The GFS has a parade of convectively produced ripples that could be real or potentially over-baked. It is hard to tell... and with so much CAPE it is hard to find any time where I can safely say there is no chance for storms. St louis summer skies all around, if any storms pop expect them to spread and have plenty of fuel to work with. Where they don’t anticipate hot and humid St. Louis armpit weather, I mean oppressively humid weather.

Finally landed in warm Washington state, saw my neighbors trampoline lift off a few times last night when it blew up over eureka by six flags, the sudden onset and intensity makes me wonder if we had a down burst. He’s a photo my neighbor sent me this morning.

Not hard to find the boundary line this afternoon I feel dumb asking, but don’t care. Meaning the south side or in the clearing for storms to pop. I’d assume I’m the clearing but have to ask so clearly don’t know.

tons of rain in Columbia this morning... looks like they're seeing one of the most widespread flash flooding events there in at least 5 years. Sure hope that ain’t accurate Actually just noticed that is as high as the scales go in the white shaded area

Cardinals game postponed because of rain. Doubleheader tomorrow. After last nights mess we all need a reprieve. is it that likely we will get rain? seems a little early to make that call

Like the new Fox 2 studio Chris. How you like the new place? It is beautiful. Tough day to debut new stuff with bad weather on top of new workflow. But it is pretty! Was thinking the same thing, thought I just didn’t watch the news in a while.

18Z rgem has 0.50" qpf from St. Louis to the SE. In this cold and .5 QPF 10 inches seems super low
