seems like theyll need to turn south in a hurry if they're gonna hit the immediate metro.

Somebody is going to get a boatoad of rain tonight... and I am affraid it will be along the Missouri River. out west and diving south of here? or straight into the metro? I desperately need some dry time early morning for some moving stuff.

according to radar, I should be getting steady rain right now. Not anything above an occasional drop here and there for the past hour.

Looks like we’ll have to deal with a “round 3” later tonight. That should get going this evening over northern Mo in fairness, on the long count since about late October, this is round #3,276.

the disco yesterday seemed to hint at a transition into a true drier/hotter summer pattern by a week or so from now. Thoughts? Or just another transient stage? There are hints of that. It has to happen eventually...just hope it doesn't go full drought. this might be the one year I don't mind that for a month or 2

that stuff in southern Indiana and Illinois isn't really going to come through the metro, right? I can't believe I'm actually having to ask that, so bizarre.

how are rain chances in the immediate metro looking for this afternoon through Sunday afternoon? Have a bunch of house showings lined up, curious if theyll no-show like a lot of them have been during storms.

yeah, the immediate metro is definitely getting hammered, severe or not. I'm past being bummed out about this constant crap.

what time this evening are we thinking for the immediate metro? I have a couple of viewings scheduled at my house, wondering if their agent is going to cancel them if there's severe weather in the area (they're at 6 and 6:45pm). Are we thinking later into the night?

I would not rule out tonight monster rains in northern mo pushing the Missouri and Mississippi above 93 thresh hold.[/qouote] just to be clear, you believe that one night of rain tonight in northern MO will push the Mississippi crest up an additional 4.5 feet?

Thinking the NW half of the area will need to watch the MCS lifting across S/central MO early this afternoon...no signs of weakening yet and there's partial clearing/destabilization occurring downstream. do you think it makes it to STL County? or not that far SE?

bumping my question from earlier, is that line of rain along 44 going to dive south or move up to STL?

is that stuff that seems like its moving up 44 from southern Missouri going to move into the metro today? I REALLY needed the forecast for "dry" at noon to be true, I need it not raining between about 12 and 2 today, badly.

someone please tell me that it won't rain in Hazelwood until 10pm. I went by the late night forecast and did some quick deck retaining at 5pm, it dries to rain resistant in 4 to 5 hours. That radar is worrying me....

Off topic but holy deep the NHL has become the NFL. the NHL has been a garage-league for a beautiful sports for decades. It somehow makes the other 3 league offices look legit time & time again.

It looks like next weekend could be wet... any initial thoughts on how widespread and if it could include severe weather or heavy rain? as long as you mean "afternoon thunderstorm-wet" and not more of this "November-like cold drenching soaker rains" wet yet again.

Many farmers are going to have to switch from corn to beans due to this wet weather or rice or farm-raised fish in their newly-formed lakes
