Understandable, I think we all struggle with Calc 2, 3 and differential equations! Congrats on almost 4 years of teaching!! What do you teach? My wife got a degree in Actuarial Science. She breezed through Calc 2, 3 and DiffyQ. Some people are just wired differently. Good point, it's different for everyone!

Man what a ride it has been and I hope to put it to good use! Merry Christmas and Happy New Years guys!! Congrats! I made it through the meteorology part just fine. It was the later calc portions that killed me. Oh well, I am finishing up my 4th full year of teaching today so all worked out. Understandable, I think we all struggle with Calc 2, 3 and differential equations! Congrats on almost 4 years of teaching!! What do you teach?

The snow pack to our North and Northwest should temporarily play a role in future storm tracks. The strength of this cold seemed to be underestimated when forecasted the past couple days.

I measured 6.5" at St. Louis University Frost Campus by Chaifetz Arena at around 11:10-15am for the final total! you mean the Chafin Arena, right? Dr. Chaifetz just put his name on the building because he's a doctor and I'm not. Money does give you a lot of things in life, but happiness isn't always guaranteed to follow with it.

Models still on track and with this coming in even quicker...later tonight...the airmass has less time to modify and snow should be the dominant p-type pretty much area wide unless the dry slot comes in and produces drizzle. NWS must be leaning towards the ensemble output that is a bit SE of operational runs. Has anyone looked at the SREF output lately? I would expect an upgrade to a WSW for the metro and pretty much anyone E of the river by the next update. www.spc.noaa.gov/exper/sref/srefplumes/index.phpNot too impressive with the mean, but some members higher.

Has anyone really put in any stock into the FV3-GFS Test [0.25*] yet? I could be wrong, but so far I'm not impressed.

Feel the burn. I'm thinking there's a chance at breaking a 100+ year old record on Sunday. Yeah 94-5 looks doable rn.
