GFSv16 is supporting a more GEM-like solution as well. Very interesting to see everything slow down by upwards of 48-72 hours based on guidance from yesterday.... but boy, that GFS run is somethin

pretty impressive synoptic scale shifting between the 00z/12z gem. doesn't even generate the colorado low much at all for next wednesday. weaker system allows the cold to flow in much further south and east.
funnily enough, the GFS is starting to look more like what the gem looked like yesterday.
Seems like it's always playing catch up.
That shift of the cold looks like it could be a potential way to set you folks up for a strong WAA thump.
Lots of moving parts in the next 7-10 days.

Snow cover was able to hang tough today despite full sun EC snowdepth product on PivWX usually does a good job pinning down snow melt.

glad we could send you guys something. We managed to squeeze out around an inch and a half yesterday when this thing came thru. Still looks like a good signal for some continued active weather and pure winter cold headed into February.

Likely just a conversion error for sea level variance in the southwest quadrant of the upper sectors. (I actually just wanted to post something to "follow" this Corner, and that's the best I could come up with.) Carry on. Mmm, upper sectors

Was it Beaker asking about an updated snowfall departure map? That was pretty nice for MRCC to label 99's location... oh man

I'd tell you guys I've seen nothing but sun or snow since I've been in Colorado... but we're also in a hefty freakin' drought. Hoping for a wet monsoon season... not looking forward to a summer of raging fires.

Covid symptoms finally starting to subside. Got a negative test this week too. S/O has spent every day with me since Xmas... no symptoms and no positive tests. This virus is so strange. Anyone else have weird experiences with it? I feel like it might just be a bias... perhaps this pandemic has made us hyper-focused on a communicable disease that we're starting to realize the course of illness' is less linear than we thought? Very strange past 2 or 3 weeks.

Well the nam is heading south for the wed night/thurs system so that’s not good. We’ve been missed every other direction so may as well get missed to the south Didn't we get missed to the south by that Branson storm a few weeks ago?

Welp, managed to somehow get corona. Didn't feel symptoms until after I got to DEN. Spent some time with family over Christmas. Think I may have given it to my pops. He says it's a bit worse than the flu but he's in pretty good health so he's not too worried. Everyone else I saw seems to be doing just find... and I've been with my S/O this entire week and she hasn't felt any symptoms yet. This virus is so weird.

I believe I read somewhere they basically used the same technology from 2005 or something for the radar. Lack of funding may be an issue.. Kinda makes you wonder why they even bothered The old one ran on flash. It's being built out now.

Merry Christmas Everyone, 10* 7 miles west of De Soto. Brrrrrr!!! Maybe, perhaps the GEM IS right. I just read a Dr. Maue tweet about new GFS v16 testing that just started. Is there a site that would show the testing runs?? It's been running on Pivotal weather for a while now but 00z doesn't usually get out till 4 or 5 am
