Glad we could send you guys some water. Has been wild here since the end of April. More consistent water than we've seen in several years. Pikes Peak and the Ramparts have been supercell printers nearly each and every afternoon. Mountain downpours are no joke! Cheers all

Looks like our first big spring storm is on the way to Colorado this week have to try to explain a potential 5-10 mile gradient between 2 inches of rain and a foot and a half of snow on the west side of town. Wish me luck.

The signals are starting to stack up for a colder, wintry pattern to develop into March. SOI took a big downturn And the MJO is forecast to emerge into the favorable quadrant with a strong signal for a cold pattern in the E US huge westerly wind burst driving this MJO cycle that hasn't been see in a while... see ya nina!

hope you folks get the bag. most I've seen in COS with one storm this season has been 3 inches. The rest have been windblown, downslope garbage. case in point ^ Congrats on your engagement! Thanks! The time to adult is here...

Nice westerly downslope/compressional warming ahead of the boundary here in Colorado Springs. Lots of sun... mid 50s. Feels pretty good. Hope nothing happens to ruin that. /s

Probably want the anomaly to come a little further south, but based on the strength... recent south trend in the last 48 hours... don't think it will be impossible to do

Pretty significant signal on the EURO mean... at this range, that's probably your closest bet to what might unfold. Going to be some insane lift out ahead of that deepening trough. Think you folks are in for some fun... but that's just IMO.

Compact little bowling ball on the EURO...would do some work around those parts with some colder air.

probably some of the craziest lightning I've seen/heard in about a decade Friday night. Struck in clear air. Lots of positive bolts (louder and more energetic)

I interned with Chris in the summer of 2012. I specifically remember him looking at 500 mb anomalies and saying "Holy crap, that's gunna be a lot of heat"

Squeezed out 9.5 Really thought we were toast this season. Big numbers put up this time around What elevation are you at? I noticed on the 850mb charts that temps were mostly above 0* across the snow producing region so I'm guessing most of the snow was above 5kft? 6500. But we had snow in Pueblo which is under 4500. I think heavy precip rates and evap cooling played a pretty big role in this case.

So... made a post about the bad roads... mentioned that interstate was driveable... but anything off the interstate was getting to be impassable to non 4wD. Does that sound like a call for people to go driving? How is that turning into a thing? I'm getting called out by some because they think I'm telling people its ok to drive! Is that what it sounds like? How could they read something into my post that was the complete opposite of what I was intending? Am I losing it? social media has turned people into animals.
