This mornings traffic situation suggests those responsible for closing schools know what’s best to do. My street in Troy Mo is pure ice from the drizzle.

We float all the time down here in St Clair. You guys come this way at all? I've always floated around Steelville but this time we will be around the state park and the caverns.

Does this Saturday look like pop ups or more organized? We have a kayak float trip. Rain doesn’t bother me much but the others it will. Thanks Not much forcing to speak of other than what appears to be an MCV that drifts to our north...storms should be pretty isolated or scattered unless a composite outflow sags into the area which is possible. What river are you floating? I hit the Meramec last weekend and we got rained on a couple times from pop ups but the weather was beautiful otherwise. Thanks. We are floating the Meramec. Usually float during the week to avoid the heavy crowds so I can fish somewhat peacefully but this was set up by some friends. I don't mind a chance of rain as it may keep the crowds down a bit.

Did you make it Lamar or Hayden Valley ? Usually lots of wildlfe there The upper grand loop was closed so we couldn’t access Lamar. Montana gates were not open yet. We saw the wolf in Hayden valley across the river.

Just left Yellowstone. Awesome trip but on our way there my exact quote was “The way this year has gone, it will probably erupt while we are there” I've never been and it's on our short list of places to go. How were the crowds? Besides Old Faithful and Grand Prismatic Spring, there were no crowds and no traffic. We stayed in Cody since there is no lodging in the park right now. Really cool drive in on the east entrance. We got lucky and saw a grizzly, black bear and even a wolf chasing an elk. Bison are every where.
