No Doubt. Ditches are starting to overflow between Sparta and Pinckneyville

Yes, there were a couple of spots where water was all the way across Highway 154

Another intense shower as I come into downtown pickneyville. It look like they had heavy rain here earlier so this is going to aggravate things

I'm not trying to make this out to be a flash flooding situation. Just got to keep your eyes out for stuff. The rain is occasionally quite intense in this glob of moisture moving through. I'm hitting the heavy rain again at Highway 51

I wouldn't rule out some flash flooding if this doesn't let up

I would not be suprised to get some weak landspouty tornadoes today in the stronger cells given the background vorticity generated by the mid level low. Is there a difference between landspouts and cold air funnels?

Solid soaker overnight. First real rain here since May 3rd. Hopefully we can get more throughout the day

Hrrr suggests that batch of storms in western mo will affect us late afternoon/evening. I just noticed that too. That batch of storms in western MO looks pretty healthy. I wonder if it will hold together as it crosses the state?

I wonder if it will hold together as it crosses the state? Right now its sitting in an area of 40-50kts of bulk shear and the RAP has bulk shear increasing to ~35kts here as it moves in. As long as we get some instability to build I think we have a good shot of it holding together

Can confirm that it doesn’t look like much on radar in Jeff City currently but the rain is very efficient. State Track Meet has just been suspended for a bit. Could be a long day. Storms out west of us look good on radar.

ugh, no more rain. We didn't need nearly the amount we got, and sure as hell don't need more. Too muddy, gross out.

1.18 at my house. Not too much at all. I'll just have to mow a little sooner than I want.
