The rain last night sure was a blessing. The drawback is that the humidity will be pretty much unbearable this weekend coupled with the heat. Could have a more active pattern next week, just depends where the boundary sets up. Models are going a bit back and forth on where that will be. We could have anywhere from mid 90's and crazy humid or days where the heat is mitigated by clouds and rain.

Humidity is just absolutely awful this morning and to top that off the client just came out and hosed off her 400 sqft patio which is right next to the area I’m working today and no air moving so it’s 1000x worse now!!

Could be a few pop storms this afternoon. The additional rain would be nice but the resulting humidity would be rough.

.01 in the Davis on the roof. That's not good. It barely got the patio wet here. More please.

If I had to work outside in this bs I would be praying for hail/wind/rain/hurricane/armageddon .... This junk is nasty on a stick. Bad enough that we have puppies to take out repeatedly . A world of no.

They really need to expand the Excess Heat Warning into Franklin County. I mean, if 99 can't get his winter storm warning then he should at least be able to enjoy a heat warning.

I have a feeling tomorrow and Sunday may approach the highest June temps ever if we can mix out. The ridge axis will be on us

The ridge axis will be on us Well...the record June temperature is 108* (in 2012 during severe drought). 850mb temps that day were around 27C. Currently we're sitting at about 20C and not expected to go much higher. It'll be miserable yes. And I wouldn't rule out 100*, but anything approaching the all time record with more or less average moisture conditions is very unlikely.

Good point. 2012 was hotter because the dewpoints were in the low 60s. At noon today the dewpoint was 71. It takes quite a bit of energy to heat up that much more water. Now the heat indexes may be equivalent, but that's a different story.

We have a guy living with us from the Netherlands this summer. He thought that 96F day we had on June 1st was brutal. Needless to say I had to give him a crash course on what to expect. I still don't think he gets it.

I work with a guy from Tuscon who said he’d take the Arizona summer easily over ours. Way more comfortable if you just find shade and actually gets below 75 at night.

Heat Warning will likely be extended into Tuesday (an extra day) some dewpoint pooling as well as rain chances/clouds still far enough away to allow for max heating bring temps close to 95 to 100 then as well. Looks like Wednesday should see a bit of a repute from the extreme heat, but still sauna like with the high dewpoints despite lower temps and rain chances.

Lots of rain over drought stricken areas of the Rockies and plains. That has to be good news going forward even for us.

ICON looks intriguing Thursday into Friday night almost a double barrel low type of thing going on with a subtropical system merging with a non-tropical one.
