Have any of you all ever witnessed a cumulus cloud raining out? What I mean by that if you watch it and rain keeps falling in out of it until it eventually disappears. I think that's what happened to me yesterday when I had that rain shaft over me with no cloud. I witnessed one of those about 30 years ago probably. It was really cool to watch Yes I have! It happened to us last summer. We got out of the pool and it started to rain and there was no could overheard and it was sunny. It was crazy! I thought I was losing my mind. I looked at the radar and you could see the echo move overhead and then dissipate. It was very cool. You could see the rain drops falling against the bright blue sky which was neat to watch.

I don't think this weather pattern wants to favor an easy forecast for anyone.

I didn't think we'd get anything either. Out of nowhere 1.5" in the gauge.Just rain, no wind, lightning, etc.

It's like a continuation of the theme we saw all winter and even spring. Just a disorganized mess. Seems to be the way thins are these days.

It is a mess. Last night I was thinking the MCS in KS may make it here tomorrow morning- but it looks to split around us as the 500 low wraps up to our NW. If we can stay rain free tomorrow morning/early afternoon... that very well may help prime it up later tomorrow/tomorrow night.

I don't think this weather pattern wants to favor an easy forecast for anyone. Just wanted to say that I've seen you on TV the past couple weekends and you are doing a great job.

Couple things... warm front looks like it will be around later tomorrow/tomorrow night. Nice little jet developing on the south side of the 500 low in a good spot.
My guess this evening.

I'm doing my best with it! It has definitely gotten a lot easier that's for sure... Although, it's still a pain in the rear trying to convey a story if there's not much weather going on. I really do appreciate this.

If the clutter clears out this afternoon we could see some stronger storms this evening you would think.

This thick overcast is gonna have to clear first though.

There is a lot of clustering of UH tracks from several CAMs right around the metro area for this afternoon.

I can't believe how long the Weathunderground app has been broken. Can't access local stations easily on my phone and I also like it because I can get my NWS forecast easily.
