Nothing yet in Waterloo. Was hoping to get the r/c trucks out with the girls today but not looking good for a snow run.

Enjoy people. At what point in each of the the last three winters did we get this much snow? Even if we don't get another flake until February we're ahead of the game from those winters

Looking at Euro forecast soundings for Thursday that would be all snow in the heaviest band with the entire column below freezing the whole duration. Not a huge fan of the upper low scooting almost due east once it reaches the river; would rather see it continue to lift a little more northeastward. But neat to see the atmosphere go from just over 0.1" PW to just under 0.7" PW in 24 hours as moisture wraps in behind the storm.
There's still considerable spread among the major global models with the UKMET showing essentially a non-event in the area.

It's pouring now here at Hampton and 44.
I sure hope development takes place in SWIL.
I feel bad for my bretheren.

Another pretty snow here. Stuck to everything. I just got home from work and measured an inch. Snowing moderately right now but the wind has picked up.

Pavement temps in the heavier snows are running 34-36. Once we get past 500-600 would imagine some icy pavement (bridges/overpasses) can be expected.

A Sprinkle is all I’ve got Wonder if elevation is playing a roll here as West Belleville is somewhat more elevated then the east end of town. Probably not, but you never know.

This new Squall warning they're coming up with. I guess my 20-plus years of complaining has finally paid off. ;-)

I haven't got to use this word in a long time...drifting! Since dropping to 28* and the wind picked up we are actually seeing some blowing and drifting.

What are your thoughts on the Thursday system BRTN? I'm still skeptical but its hard to ignore what every model is showing TBH I really haven't looked at much...but assuming we're dealing with a retreating arctic airmass I would say an all snow event is unlikely.

We should see continued development of light to moderate snow through the evening, especially along and south of 44. So areas that have been left out so far should get there fair share later on
