Euro ensembles have pretty damn good agreement with the operational with the system on Thursday. Have several more inches on top of the 2 or so Monday.

Looks like 26/50 members plus the control have some decent snow with the late week system. With several very near misses. Interesting.

That is certainly an interesting run. This is now 3 fantasy storms by my count that have been shown by the Euro in and around Missouri this month. The first 2 were mostly flops relative to how much snow the Euro was advertising 5+ days out so it's hard to be skeptical this go around too especially considering that there isn't much support from the GFS or UKMET.

Fwiw..I will be in Camden County deer hunting Thursday. This should greatly improve the chances of a decent snow in St.Louis.

Leaning on a slightly drier EURO for today's forecast. As for thursday... just not sure what to think... it is so wierd. carrying token mix for now... but still not sold on it getting this far west.

Nam is also very far west for wed night thurs. Hard to buy into something that crazy but can't deny the model consensus. The retreating attic airmass is helping it form/maintain its cold core I assume?

Any snow we get today is a bonus.
This is really crazy when you put this in context.

Temps are concerning, flirted with 50 yesterday and only down to 37 this morning.

Less than 75nm separation between tracks of the 500mb low on the 0z GFS/UKM/ECM/CMC as it deepens and passes to our south later in the week and seeing a TROWAL-like feature on the 700mb theta-e charts. But how cold will it be and how much moisture gets slung back to the north and west? I'm still very skeptical and interested at the same time.

Sure looks like there is a good amount of moisture bubbling up from the south and radar looks to be holding strong.

Have to include a mix in the forecast... but this is a strange setup for sure.

If Thursday happens there is a lot of moisture being pulled up and around straight from the gulf.
Shame it got a little too warm for today. Most should still get a decent coating on the ground I think.

The latest RPM has ramped back up with today's snow. It kind of lost it a bit at 00z... but now has a much more robust surge of snow... more like what has been forecast...so steady as she goes!

Had one big doe in front of me but quiet ever since and only 3 shots far off in the distance. 8:30 is the magic time here though. Going after a huge 12 on my land.
