Glenn mentioned a deformation zone potentially setting up later around the area... I suspect that'll mainly be N of 44(MO)/70(IL), though we could get swiped down this way, too. I'm not holding my breath for much additional accumulating snow.

This snow this morning is much heavier to shovel than yesterday’s. I think the warmer temps are doing it.

M 10.0 dardenne prairie at 10 am. Compaction has begun so it is unlikely i will add much to that total. I'm right at 10" as well via measurements, but my depth is only 9". I have to be honest...I don't think the snow is going to add up very fast today and I think there's a possibility of rain even for us in St. Charles County. I'm near Hwy 94/364 and Jungermann Rd. Yep my depth was a bit under 10 in the yard (no board)

Snow, coming down decent again.
Looking at the "Future Radar", shows snow (some heavier bands) overspreading the area west of STL again late afternoon/early evening

NAM keeps throwing moisture back into the cold air, though, even as the main part of the system is over on the EC. Some of that will end up as freezing drizzle.

correct me if Im wrong, but....If the moisture keeps up at about 33 degrees as rain, it should cause evap cooling to make everything fall as snow/sleet?

Had quit for about 15 minutes but it is starting in again. Not up to hamsters, but good sized. No where close to the intensity of yesterday afternoon. And slightly above freezing. I'm seeing water dripping from here and there

Light rain here after we had snow this morning. Before the rain started we ended up very close to 5 inches. Measured and had 4.75 inches of snow. This snow is very wet and heavy to shovel!

I wish I knew someone in the Bloomsdale area because I bet they had higher amounts in the northern part of the county. What is the latest on next week ? Are we waiting for the latest model output to give us a guess as to what we will see??
