When's the last time we had accumulating snow in the single digits? Very rare here.

No one ever said this was an un impressive arctic airmass. It was always about longevity. It went from 3 solid days to 30 hours. It was very cold...wind was biting. Now snowing with single digit temps. Impressive. 60s on sat thru tues..possibly a 70 is just as impressive..or more so.

East of Mascoutah and NA would be from Lively Grove, if anything.
EDIT: Just looked at the loop. I'd lean toward birds. Anything coming from Baldwin isn't going to be blowing north.
Yeah and I misread and thought he meant over by Marrisa and I also discounted birds because they would not be flying north though the moment isn't easy to see but it looks to be moving NE. Smoke wouldn't be moving north either though today. I mean, I wouldn't think they would be flying north today but what do I know. Snow also shouldn't be moving north. Smoke is what I meant from Baldwin. Local birds will travel between Baldwin, Carlyle, any of the strip pits in the area, and all places in between to feed.

Flake size and intensity is increasing rather fast. A nice coating on everything here. Roads are entirely covered at this point in Villa Ridge.

I finally got my truck running again! I have never had a diesel gel up. I even added anti-gel yesterday. Fortunately, I was off work today and my neighbor only worked a half-day. He was able to run me up to Tractor Supply to buy some Diesel 911.
I had no zero plans to spend any time outside today, but I needed to run to the store and that's when I found out my trucks was gelled....It was stupid cold working on my truck!

Solid dusting again in de soto, 11*. That band needs to move a schoshe north. While using push broom on walkway today I figured I had 1/2" of 'Diamond Dust' from last night.
