We had quit a few reverse migrating, but not an excess amount, just small groups of 500-1000 dropping into Mascoutah area corn fields. 3/4 of them would drop in, as 1 out of 4 just kept heading north. Are those birds on radar over the eastern counties? It really cloudy any heavy up here, so I would say it's light rain or virga.

Wife did our regular weekly grocery shopping today. Reports there were a fair number of carts with the makings of French toast and only a couple of other items. In the “whatever it's worth“ department

Temps expected to rise a bit or stay steady overnight? I’m at 20 currently. A little colder than I had thought we’d get down too.

00z ukmet with a Memphis low for the end of the week.
00z gfs and 00z ggem were much further north with that storm system.
Needless to say, the models have been all over the place lately. In fact, since that huge January snow, where they were all oddly in lockstep for days, there has been zero consistency.

I expect to wake up to a nasty little glaze in the morning. Can't believe we are about to get a ton more rain. Where does this winter rank as far as overall precip total so far? Gotta be up there. Feels like we haven't had a week without significant precip in months.
Pattern is going to set up for us to have a shot at one more big system in 7-10 days I think.

If the pattern sets up properly, we'll have more than one shot at a big system

HRRR continues to trend wetter as we get closer, the 04z looks great for the whole metro area. Probably it’s best run yet.

RAP has definitely trended wetter as well, it went from about .05” qpf to between .10-.15” area wide the last two runs . We should start seeing precipitation develop pretty quickly and begin moving in from the south west.

Hopefully it's snow.
The models pretty much are freezing rain all the way North of i70.
Basically only snow North of a Troy MO to Jerseyville IL line.
