Good size flakes. I'd call this moderate snow right now.

All I can say is thank goodness this is not a work day or we would be looking at another paralyzing low QPF high impact event. This is exactly the kind of little system that has brought us to our knees in the past during rush hour.

BTRN may get in on those yellow returns. Best looking batch in the area.

Its temperature fields on the east side are 33 degrees... Close to icing initially before a kick to rain. Could be a sneaky bad commute on the Illinois side if it is initializing better than the other models.

Everything is white in Ballwin, including the streets. It is snowing much better here than radar would indicate.

Roads from Dittmer to festus all covered in snow. Hwy A was pretty bad. Got to town and streets are pretty clear. Snowing good with decent size flakes

As I cringe over the forecasted 40 degrees and rain for me on Tuesday, I can’t help but look at the winds, and then at the current glacier sitting to my SE, and wonder exactly how much warm air advection will actually occur?
I know we speak of northern snow cover not allowing temps to moderate on their way down, but what about the other way. Just some thoughts I guess.
