It went from zero to covered asphalt in less than 10 min in Arnold. I was outside with dog #1 when it started briefly as sleet, then mixed with snow to all snow and covered by the time I was done with dog#2. Very fine but pouring glitter

Flat ripping snow now..... but the southern edge is getting way to close..... I am encouraged by the Springfield radar though like Brtn said

Gonna be rough to see those 'beefy' numbers if flake size stays this size.

Now in far West Belleville by West main and 157.
And it's pouring heavy snow with low visibility.

Woke up to a slight dusting 20 minutes ago, but even though they’re tiny flakes, accumulated to .25” quickly. Edit: Jaimie Travers & Storm Runner in Montgomery Co. driving over snow snakes!

Ballwin salt shaker? That is actually a thing? It’s the same thing as a Wildwood salt shaker that I was getting and that has now stopped. A little powdered sugar..

1/4 mile visibility.
I'm really tired just broke my back working from 10pm-6am.
If all this turns into is complaining I'm out for the day
It's beautiful snow right now.
And whether I get 1" or 4". I have been blessed with another moment of seeing heavy snow.
I just can't take the whining and complaining today.

Side streets and parking lots are snow covered
Main highway is snow covered in the middle turn lane.
The 4 driving planned lanes are wet in spots and snowy in spots

It's good that this came in early to get a nice base down before the sun gets higher. The march sun can definitely cut into accumulations even with thick cloud cover and temps in the 20s.
