Sun is peaking through near Festus which is not great, but good to see the reports and radar trends.

Maybe I’m the only one but I actually think the radar looks great. Lots of heavier embedded bands and the last couple of frames really push it further east before it goes south. Guess time will tell but I like how things sit.

Snowing at the lake now. Steady as she goes. What part of the lake are you at? I'm close to the Grand Glaize Bridge. My friend sent me a pic from Camdenton, Mo. Apparently after it starts it increases rather rapidly.

And just as I posted yesterday pavement temps are an issue after a couple days in the 60's. Just checked and the asphalt parking lot is at 34.8 and just wet. It is going to take at least moderate snow to cover most surfaces. Anything elevated covered instantly. Deck temp is 24.1

Not to be a straight Grinch but the dry air is so the way near the surface.
So the donut hole will probably collapse and it still won't be snowing.

I don’t know why everyone is freaking out, it was never supposed to start snowing until 12-2pm , I think we’re on pace to see that.

Looks like my 50-60 mile forecast of the southern finger of radar/sleet returns is going to b ust LOW. WTH. Composite radar is showing a dry slot expanding west just to the west of me. OK, griping might start shortly

I'll second Chris. MZZU radar looks good. And it looks to have some translating power into Metro STL.

I'll second Chris. MZZU radar looks good. And it looks to have some translating power into Metro STL. Would agree...models show a finger of saturation coming right down the MO river into STL around lunchtime. I still think I'm screwed up in Brighton but I see NWS did bump POPs up to 60% and a half inch of accums. That's down from 90% and 3" accums, btw.

Yeah, I think you're too far north and east BRTN. You'll probably see some flakes but accumulations may end up only being on the barely measurable end of the spectrum.
