A 975mb low in the Texas panhandle next week seems pretty wild Yea that's looked like a very strong cyclone for some time now, but that certainly ups the ante. After that, things MAY finally dry out.

I was just going to say that I'll be curious to see what the rain totals are for today. Sure been coming down in buckets. Time to start watching the levels of the smaller rivers and creeks.

I'm surprised SPC didn't trim back the SLGT and ENH risks...I just don't see much in the way of severe weather with this event. Maybe some convection will get going in the dry slot...but I think shear is going to rip the updrafts apart if it does.

My backyard is about as soggy and gross as its ever been. It could definitely use a stretch of sunny warm weather.

Radar is lighting up to our west and northwest. Interesting... Storm out by Jeff City looks a bit frisky...looks to be developing a hail core.

As energized as this storm is. I am betting we will have a high wind warning this evening I'm not sure they will hoist one this late in the game but I do think a few spots will reach warning criteria which is 58mph+. Would not be surprised to see a few reports of uprooted trees.

Sun came out here and the temp went from 48 to 58 in less than an hour. Blue skies above. But fairly ominous looking clouds above the horizon in just about every direction.

springfield went with a warning for part of their area a little while ago Not surprised...they have the benefit of peak heating under the dry slot which will help to steepen lapse rates and momentum transfer.
