Not much as I pass through Ste. Gen. Even hints of clear sky. Hills to the south look snowier though. I can confirm that. We haven't had much action or snowflakes flying. Very small flakes when they do fly and the ground has enough to look white but with a lot of grass showing through. Hard to see we have even a half inch right now. I will measure what I can here soon.

Snowing harder than it has all day. Flakes are the largest also at roughly the size of some dimes. Sidewalk getting covered now. Temp down to 25*

All sleet with I think some zr in the mix. Measured 1.5" on the patio table before it started getting knocked down by the sleet. Most of that came in about a half hour with that extremely heavy band.

M1.8" in Harvester.
I think this storm has behaved reasonably well so far at least at my house.

Large hamsters here and getting covered quickly. Bad news for anyone east of Park Hills. My daughter just reported the biggest sleet she has ever seen. Said it was as big as hail. BB sized she said.

Will we stay sleet down here now? The station to our south said we should be seeing a change over sometime soon 🤔

Ratios with the snow this evening should be pretty good...about 14:1
Should pile up quickly

Video shot by Javon Weaver near Oak Grove MO this afternoon. I have not verified the report of one fatality. I addition to driving too fast notice the number of cars driving without headlights, which I DO NOT understand.

A pretty good band of snow should slide South of i70. Really consolidate along and SE of 44. Into the metro and South of 64 in IL.

Just checking back in and saw the video of the accident. It is incredibly graphic. And while it may serve a purpose to remind the public about respecting snowy roads...it likely also shows somebody's death... and at very close range. For that reason I have elected to take it down. I am sure you can find it on youtube if you are so inclined. I just don't think we need it in here.

Jus went outside. Hardly any sleet now and straight huge flakes falling from the sky. Best snow of the day so far!
