I sure hope the 12z HRRR is not correct! It shows a significant ramp up in the 850mb flow coming up I-44...leading to a region of potentially enhanced tornado/hail/wind potential near and just south of St. Louis. that LLJ has been an on again, off again feature as these models have been getting closer. It will be a key player for sure.

Looks like start time has been moved back to around sunrise for Metro St. Louis and points southeast. Just a dry, muggy breezy night tonight.

Ground is drying up, can walk in the yard again. Just in Time for another inch plus of rain.

Ground is drying up, can walk in the yard again. Just in Time for another inch plus of rain. It was still a little iffy for me to mow with the rider. I went to get gas this morning and saw somebody stuck. I think a truck stopped & helped him. I took it as a sign & push mowed as much as I could before the rains tonight.

Ground is drying up, can walk in the yard again. Just in Time for another inch plus of rain. Upper yard is fine but the lower part in the back is still a mud farm. Yep time for more rain so that I can have a swamp again. Mud season is still here at my house,

How big is the threat for strong storms tonight? the Weather Report on Fox2 suggests the system may weaken. What do you all think?

HRRR has some good helicity swaths around the area later tonight

Training thunderstorms may be a problem tonight as well with a ripping LLJ running into the frontal boundary. Latest HRRR would support this possibility. Flash flood guidance numbers are pretty low right now, as low as 1-2" of rain in 3 & 6 hour periods around the area.

Not a fan of tiger myself but im not a golf fan. But what he did does not justify a loss of following or condemnation. If what he did amounts to cheating on his wife, and being addicted to painkillers, i dont know that i wld care too much if my favorite athlete did that...especially if he took responsibility. Again, not my place. How big is the hail going to be. R they still saying quarters?

I guess dawn comes really early these days. Got lightning thunder and rain here. Once again things are faster than I expected. A broken record surely. But that's the trouble with convection always hard to time.
