Wow!! What a hard hit right here at 44/union just northwest of the Harley Shop in Villa Ridge. The twister came in rain wrapped with little warning and incredible wind. I cannot confirm it was on the ground entirely because it came through the woods and when I seen the trees collapse down then wrap around I took shelter it was that bad!!! Little warning? Picture confirmation? Mchafin I’ll try to see if I can get a decent pic in the morning. I can see some clearing where it came in rain wrapped. For the first time I immediately took cover bc I’m watching my friends kids and wanted to make sure they were safe.

How on earth are there no damage reports coming out of that? Saving grace may be that it was at its worst over rural areas. Hopefully lots of that debris was leaves.

The winds out of due east here... are steady 10 to 15 at the surface. The pic shows the veracity of the winds aloft.

The TDWR Terminal Doppler Radar in St. Charles. I actually edited my post and removed the first image. I messed up and screenshot the L3 data for KLSX. I'll see if I can get the TSTL data later.

Probably sucked up a lot of grapes. Higher wine prices coming. Lol LOL...Although grapes are roughly equal size horizontally and vertically so we wouldn't see a huge CC hole from grapes...though they may get closer to Mie scattering size...sorry I had to go there...

How on earth are there no damage reports coming out of that? Saving grace may be that it was at its worst over rural areas. Hopefully lots of that debris was leaves. 1. If the radar is percise on location, it JUST missed the town of Augusta to the south/east and would have been over very rural areas. 2. It may take some time to get to the hard hit areas given the rural nature. The fact that we've heard nothing scares me more because it makes me assume all communication is down in that area.

I am in a library in st Charles at 364 and Muggee... spotty connection and phone dying. I understand we're under a warning again until 7:45. Is that correct?
I told librarians, but when she went or to listen for sirens, which had just been going, they weren't sounding so they did nothing.
We were previously in the restroom for 30+minutes and were only out for 5 when I heard new sirens.
