Idk if this has been posted, but saw this on FB. IDT Chris can put this on air, but thought it looked funny. I don't know if who to credit. It is out of a KC bar. Speaking of Colorado... just settled in at our home for the next few days in Estes Park... where it is a chikky 58 rught now Colorado must be the place to go. Been hanging here since last Friday except for two days at Canyonlands and Arches in Moab where it was 104° but worth the heat. Spending our final week in Keystone.

Its really weakening on the eastern edges of this storm. Central MO and Kansas city look to really get a decent storm.

Gotta love it when your forecast at 6pm goes from a chance a storm or two, to 1000+ without powers as a stubborn MCS defies the odds!
The outflow was wicked too! 40-45mph gusts for a solid 10 minutes before the storm even got here!

Crazy that the Eastern side is weakening while the western rolls in to KC and has developed back to the northwest all the way back to Omaha where the line was mid afternoon on Saturday

I was hoping it would do a u-turn and hit us, but I was really joking. Prolific lightning right now, but just starting to rain. Big drops according to what is hitting the roof.

Looks like the remnant composite outflow from last night's MCS will become the running board for another complex this evening/overnight as it merges with the sagging cold front...the S half of the area being favored. There may also be a few airmass thunderstorms sprinkled across the area with peak heating.

Metro St. Louis looks to largely miss out on tonight/tomorrow's rain and we get 2-3 'cooler' days before it's back into the blast furnace once again through Early August.

Looks like it's going to get pretty wet to me. And temps in the low 80's with dews near 60 or lower is pretty damn good for July.

I don't have a rain gauge, and I'm at work, so I look at this page, it gives total for every 30 minutes. The total from 230 to 3a, was .49...it really didn't start pouring until like 250 or so. The total from 3-330 was 2.72! Still pouring. That's nuts. waterdata.usgs.gov/usa/nwis/uv?07016500

.77 between 4 and 430, total of 4.92 in about 100 minutes I was also surprised at how heavily the rain was coming down when the heart of it was rolling thru central MO around midnight. This complex seems to be squeezing every last bit of moisture out of the air.
