Take with a grain of salt, but at the end of the Euro run it has a pretty cool airmass moving in. 850s around 12 here, 9-10 in nw mo, around 4 or 5 in MN and ND. GFS has been showing this at times too.

Radar is out for the week for maintenance [ omitted]
Yeah, bad timing, I meant to point that out earlier but forgot.

Somewhat interesting...the last several runs of the HRRR has been simulating the "bow and arrow" convective structure associated with tonight's MCS.
With conditions possibly allowing some instability to build in behind the MCS along with the right environmental flow for enhanced isentropic ascent and convergence we might see a line of elevated storms develop behind and perpendicular to the as yet to form MCS.. Sometimes these cluster of storms can produce heavy rain from training cells or even severe weather.

So what source do many of you use when the radar is down?

I use this site click on the radar Tab and I always go Regional tab and then set the time you want and then click on St Louis on the map. I think there's a couple others around but I don't have the link for them. Someone else will pop one in though. weather.rap.ucar.edu/satellite/

Storm is splitting in St.Clair county and Marissa might be right in the split lol You are welcome. I use the ucar radar in the winter when/if I sleep through a snowstorm I can look back however many hours to see how much I was missed by. I was hoping the cells popping in SE Jeffco would 'back' into me to at least give a quick shower. Couldn't have got any closer to me. I could see the towers growing as the pork steaks were grillin'. Doesn't get much better except I could use some/a little rain. I have learned to be careful what I ask for.

We got a pretty nice down pour with the severe cell (wasn't severe here) that popped up near ofallon il. I am kicking myself for not replacing my rain gauge that I broke in February. Oh well. Looking forward to getting to the airport to pick up my wife as this thing gets here tomorrow. I am sure either the flight gets delayed or I'll be driving home in it. Yay. Good night cornerers.

Congrats, Chris!
Tomorrow's setup reminds me of one back in June I believe where a big bow echo came down the river valley mid-day...but this one has more juice to work with...thinking this MCS is likely to become a derecho.

If it comes in... noon or later- letting CAPE build... severe chance seems good. I'd be surprised if it went east of us.

Yeah, the big pool of high CAPE airmass lays pretty well south of the complex and thickness/corfidi vectors support a turn S/SE for sure.

I bet it’ll curve into Illinois but we all will get it’s tail that drags through here!

We got absolutely nothing to speak of. Davis recorded .01" UGH. I guess today might be different but I do NOT want hail and damaging winds.
