potential tropical cyclone will probably become a depression then Humberto as it moves over the Bahamas and toward Florida. Shouldn't be anything big over the Bahamas, but they don't need anything. Hard to say if it hits FL or goes up the coast again..

Here's Josh Morgerman's footage of Dorian...it's pretty crazy. Not minimizing the storm in any way, but how tough is that little tree in front of the storm shelter. It took like a 180mph plus wind gust and didn’t yield

Unbelievable difference between the euro and gfs with the next possible tropical storm/hurricane.
This would be the most pathetic performance of the gfs I can remember if the euro is correct and the stakes are relatively high (unlikely a major hurricane can hit the northeast).
This would be a massive failure if the euro prevails at this lead time.

Pretty unimpressive rain line to our west. I hope no one was needing anything significant because it doesn't look like you'll get it unless it intensifies A LOT.

Channel 2 just had a graphic that said the soil temp is 89.3*. I hope it's not that high when it snows, it might melt.

Feel better Chris. If chills and fever and aches are symptoms it's probably the flu, otherwise likely sinus or something.

If it makes you feel any better, I've been in the hospital with appendecitis. Was bummed that you haven't been on in the AM...I don't usually watch too much TV but not much to do in here!

Not always possible but the only thing that helps me with sinus infections is head back and an ice bag on my forehead. OTC sinus meds just make me feel spacey/wonky.
Feel better Chris. And feel better Brtn. Hospitals are a necessary place but are torture as well

Chris, if it just started today, you may not be feeling all of the symptoms yet. Just know that flu is going to have a fever with it. Any worry about strep, you can always hit urgent care for a swab check...Can be swabbed for both of them as long as you're at it. I don't like the sound of someone saying that they've never gone down like this.
And Brtn, glad to hear that you're home. Two weeks stuck in that joint for that reason is unhappy.
Hope that both of you feel better!

There isnt' anything good about strep, except the fact that most of the time it responds to oral antibiotics and you start to feel better in a couple of days. Pound fluids and take this opportunity to REST.
