I completely agree, Chris...if you threw out the model output showing the 6"+ amounts the models did very well once they got locked on. And some places will end up with warning criteria snowfall...the band to the north seems to have almost stopped it's northward progress and N Calhoun and Green Co. back towards Middletown are cashing in.

Living in the "cut off zone" of central Jefferson County, I will attest that Chris's razor thin cut off was spot on. Great job

About as tough of a call as it gets for School Districts in the Metro. I would imagine that most streets will be in reasonable shape by morning, but ongoing ZR- and the threat of more snow tomorrow could make for a bad afternoon situation.

This afternoon while playing in the snow with my daughter, we found several huge nightcrawlers just beneath the snow. Does anybody know why they would be active and above ground in this kind of weather?

I really hope the whole area can get at least an inch or two tomorrow afternoon/eve. May be asking a bit but it would make me happy.

Great post Chris! A lot of people also get wrapped up in that upper number of a forecast... even some of us on here who should know better. I'd like to get the jackpot of the upper end of the snowfall, but I know better, so I try not to get as wrapped up in it. If I get more than that, then it's even better.

Schools have to call off with freezing drizzle tonight and the snow tomorrow. They don’t have much of a choice. Not worth the headache.
