I have questions abt the northward extent. It does seem like many of those who were not getting as much snow yesterday may be getting some cake today. Im thinking soco, n jeff co, even as far north as chesterfield. Best described as along i44. That would be the most likely areas imo to get the highest totals today.

Wow... wake up to no work, no school and 70 new posts. Looks like the models all depict a possible bigun'. Will be fun to watch unfold from the comfort of my living room and not stuck in traffic.

Most of the short fuse models show that it will be snowing like bonkers in the metro between 10AM and 2-3PM could be 1" to 1.5" per hour rates maybe brief periods of 2" per hour.

Seems like the going trend or itinerary is this. Snow building/moving in between 9AM and lasting till between 2PM and 4PM with a solid thumping of 3-5" possibly more up to 6-8" in a few spots then a brief break around 4PM till 6PM Before the second weaker but still notable batch arrives/develops around 6PM to 7PM and last until Midnight to 2AM again depending on which model is right. This batch will yield an additional 1-2" with possible spots getting in additional 3" for a storm total of 4 to 8" with locally higher amounts up to 10". Can't possibly go with the foot some of the models are producing due to compaction and lower than 10:1 ratios. This is most likely from between a Salem to Rolla, MO, to Belleville and Effingham, IL line including the 370/255 loop.

Speaking of ratios the first and main batch is likely to be around 8:1 ending as 10:1, but the second lighter batch might actually hold more and be closer to 12:1 to 13:1, so could be more effective at accumulating despite a lighter QPF which is why I'm going with 1-2 with spots of 3".

50/50 zr sleet mix at the north end of Ste. Gen county. Big sleet pellets in there. Hate hearing that report from Farmington though, that kinda sucks.
