In the metro that run, the euro drops 2-4" of snow followed by 0.15" - 0.25" of ice followed by another 1-3" of snow
Farmington sees >0.50" of freezing rain

But ya if it unfolded like that it would be an impactful system for sure

18z euro came in further north but beefier I must say...you're doing a great job of manning the BBQ grill on this one. Just need to get unclesam to step up his game in the deserts department.

In all seriousness the 18Z Euro is pretty juicy actually. Being careful to account for the junk QPF tomorrow there is still widespread 0.5" and pockets of 0.7" north of I-44. Obviously north of I-70 fairs better owing to less ptype problems.

HRRR 0Z showing some interesting potential tomorrow AM with 1-3" of wet snow northwest of the immediate metro.
0Z NAM hints at it as well, though a county or 2 farther north.

RAP's on it as well. Who mentioned about tomorrow's surprise heavy burst of snow? They might of nailed it. RAP spitting out 2-3" with spots of 4" west of the metro. Overcooking it... Yeah, but still something to watch over the next several hours.

Unsurprising with tomorrow's system farther north, so is Sunday's event. NAM is much, much warmer now for Sunday. Especially when referring to temps aloft. This is definitely an ice storm event.

Temps close to 40* at the surface when precip breaks out Sunday evening, it's liquid rain for all but the northern most counties which is a rain snow mix with all snow just outside our area.

NAM really want to dig this puppy which would allow it to really pump up the 'heat' or warmth rather and could bring t-storms to the southeastern counties if it does what I think it's gonna do. Might also bring 60s to St. Louis if that's the case. Could be entirely wrong but lets see how the rest of the NAM pans out.

Guys we all know the NAM has a strength bias at this range. Besides wet bulb temps are in the mid 20’s when precep breaks out across the area. That’s ice

Interesting to see how all of the moisture is well east of the greater dynamics. Classic tell tale sign of a sheared out system.

Guys i agree with snowman. Lets all chill. As a plow driver if its not snow i dont want it. As ice os just dangerous. But its the nam. And I am.going to be dedicated to keeping all of stlouis parking ice free and cleared. Inam going to stick to the thoughts of chris of 1 to 3. Also i would love the snow at my house in st.peters but if it could be a bit easier in the city i would be ok with that

I know there’s weather going on and I hope folks don’t mind but need to let it out. We had to put down our wonderful dog of 6 and a half years this afternoon. I knew I would be sad, but wow. We are devastated. He was just unlike any other. I’m just glad we are pregnant with our first (7 months along) because if we didn’t have that it would be even harder. Thanks for everyone’s kind words and private messages the other day when I first posted about it. It just feels like the pain won’t ever end with his loss though I know it will.
