Trying to enjoy this weather...winter looks to go on an extended vacation for a bit. We should be able to reload in Jan and Feb. It’s already been fun but I want more.

Been snowing for 14 hrs. That is quite rare for around here. Very rough guesstimate of 4.5 or 5 today

My snow measuring mechanism needs an update. My table is compacting but yet I just shoveled another inch or so after shoveling another inch or so after shoveling another inch or so. This after snow blowing 4” or so earlier today.
Coz - what’s your official measurement? I’m thinking 7”+ storm total?

I can't complain about today though as we have 8" and with the melting and compaction from yesterday we likely had close to 9" total she may add another half inch with this last batch. Feels good to finally be in the jackpot zone. I believe I'm up to close to 10" for the season and it isn't even Xmas. I'm happy! |

Man, this storm has been great. I’m thankful my kids get to enjoy this! And truth be told, me, too! I had to turn some kids away from shoveling my drive so I could snowblow in the AM. They asked, “Can we shovel your drive for money?” I never had to make that qual back when I was a kid. Are people really not paying for shoveling anymore?

I’ll put in my official of 6” in O’Fallon, MO/Dardenne.
After rounds of brush off and re-measure, figure it’s best to just to with current depth start to finish, factoring in a little compaction last night.

Maybe. I’ll have to go back to see if I measured anything with that storm. I think I had about half of the yard scoured down to grass. Friv is right on the nose. I measured 13” that day when living in Maryland Heights. I believe it’s close to the day I first joined this forum. |

Just measured exactly 9". With the melting and compaction from yesterday we had to of had close to 10" in Waterloo.
