Ohe thing it was so dry today with the low dew points we actually sprayed the lot at work in valley park to keep the dust down. We have really dried out the last few days

I find it annoying...maybe a bit selfish when ppl on fb get so dramatically thankful that "this isnt snow". Do they not understand that we are talking about a flash flood? Do they not realize that floods kill too? That they cause property damage too? I mean, lets deal with a little snow instead of all the baggage that comes with flooding.

Let’s just discount the NAM. If those folks in northern and northwest Missouri get 15+” of snow while we get the edge of nothing I’m not going to be a happy camper. I’m really surprised this is not being suppressed more with a 1036mb high to the north bring the 1020s down to northern, Mo. What in the hell is going on here?! Meh!

They probably mean that if the 3 inches of rain was snow...then all 3 feet of it might do some damage...

Did they put out an ice forecast? I can’t figure out how to get that to update. It’s stuck in 2019

I thought the same thing, the storm is really not that strong as it ejects out of the south, it’s not a sub 1000mb storm. It does strengthen some but it’s not like it’s a 985 mb beast. You would think a 1036 -1038 HP would be able to help suppress it a little more. If the HP was more of a banana HP out front and over the Great Lakes it would probably help. It’s really like a double whammy, no snow and I hate pouring down rain.

Or the ICON can just give us the big ol middle finger. I must say the track is pretty darn set on the models. I’m still holding out hope. Hell just gimme 2” and I’d be happy.

Looks like the ICON could roll in hot. Ignoring p-types, the evolution of the backside looks similar to the ukmet

Temps are well above freezing even after the storm. Bring on spring! More Daylight! I not sure why people are thinking that something going to change that drastically. When was the last time a rain forecast was blown to have several inches of snow instead?

When I read some of the comments on Chris's FB posts my eyes roll so far back in my head I can hear my mother saying "one day they'll get stuck like that." Good grief FB people. Is it too much to ask to know where the heck you actually are on a map? Or that forecasts for later/next week will actually be a thing? I know Chris can't be snarky to the public. I'd probably be better off not reading them. This might be how some of you who actually understand the models/weather graphics/forecasting tools feel when some of us peons post. It's amazing and sad at the same time. I think some of those people would have trouble finding the ground if you chucked them off of a building.

I just looked at the latest of both models! This one is not over until it’s over. I think it’s got some tricks up it’s sleeve. The Euro hasn’t done the greatest this year so maybe the other 3 are onto something special.

GFS, Amped up and warmer/farther north. Little to no snow metro southeast. Close again to the thunderstorm sector.

Worldseries..hope you can cash in, you’re always rooting for us. I mean, it looks pretty on the gfs snowfall map, but reality is that is probably all rain. I need a ukmet or Icon solution or some of you guys remain ahead of me in snow. Very depressing winter up here so far

Surprisingly the gfs has reinstated the arctic blast for next week, tamed down just slightly but still near zero. Now the stage is set and we need some energy.
