Hires CAMS have started to back off the hefty QPF numbers with this system...bringing it back to reality where it has been forecast since the get-go. Less than 1" of snow and 1/4" or less of ice.

Stepped out to get some more wood for the stove. Definitely an ever so slight glaze on concrete...that wasn't there an hour ago.

Nice job on the snow/sleet/zr/rain "infographics" Is that one of the projects you've been working on? One of MANY.... Yes, loved it & shared. I’m guessing graupel falls between snow & sleet, the snow flake is kinda trapped & compacted into dipping dots?

Initial band will saturate as we are seeing, but it will race northeast. This will leaves STL high and dry for a couple hours.
Storm will be impactful, but need not be overhyped

Chris, you may want to record your forecast, then just use it for the next 2 weeks, while you soak up the rays on a beach.

Have to echo what was already said, that was a really cool explication of all the freezing precipitation and how it work. Only thing I would add because I think that presentation would make it clear is how super cooled freezing rain works and use the shaken water bottle on set as an example with it instantly freezing

Difference between base and composite radar is pretty striking to the southwest.
